「題名のない音楽会」の司会でもよく知られる指揮者佐渡裕さんが「本当に作りたかった未来形のオーケストラ」を目指して結成した兵庫県立芸術文化センタ(HPAC)オーケストラから4名の女性演奏家が北の大地に憧れてやってきます。

彼女たちはいずれも世界各地のオーディションで選ばれた新進気鋭のアーティスト。インターナショナルでフレッシュなオーケストラの一員として活動する彼女たちの奏でる音楽は、きっとニセコに温かい愛をいっぱい届けてくれることでしょう。

(HPAC 兵庫県立芸術文化センター管弦楽団所属「In a rare appearance in the northern prefecture of Hokkaido, four musicians from Sado-san’s Hyogo Performing Arts Center Orchestra revisiting Niseko and presenting a diverse chamber music concert. Selected through competitive international auditions to play in this unique orchestra, Soojin Chang(Violin), Rebecca Matayoshi(viola), Andrea Kleesattel(cello), and Melkorka Olafsdottir(flute) will step out of their roles as orchestral musicians to play member will find something to love.

チャン・スージン

ヴァイオリンのチャン・スージンは米国ミシガン州ブルームフィールドヒルズ生まれ。オーケストラを飛び出して友人と一緒に演奏するこの機会を何より楽しみにしています。

(2013年2月2〜4日 ニセコクラシックコンサート出演)Soojin Chang, violin, from Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, USA, received her Bachelor and Masters degrees from the Cleveland Institute of Music. She is currently a member of the Hyogo Preforming Arts Center Orchestra. She is very excited to be performing chamber music works with her colleagues in Japan.

Rebecca Matayoshi is a native of Chicago, IL and studied viola performance at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and New England Conservatory under Rudolf Haken, Masumi Rostad and Marcus Thompson, respectively.
In 2010, she joined the Hyogo Performing Arts Center Orchestra as a section violist. Additionally, she has concertized all over the US, Japan and Europe through various festivals such as the Pacific Music Festival(Sapporo), International Music Academy(Czech Republic), among others.
Outside of music, Rebecca enjoys traveling to exciting new places and exploring the world of food and wine.

AndreaCelloAndrea Kleesattel is native Cincinnati, Ohio in the United States of America. Although educated in this mid-western area of her home country, music has taken her to many places around the world. She is very happy to be continuing this trend and making music in the beautiful country of Japan.

A finalist at the Carl Nielsen International Flute Competition in 2010, Melkorka Ólafsdóttir studied at the Reykjavik College of Music and the Icelandic Academy of Arts with Maria Cederborg, Hallfríður Ólafsdóttir and Bernard Wilkinson. She went on to complete a B. Mus degree from the Royal Conservatory in the Hague, where she studied with Emily Beynon, principal flutist of the Concertgebouw Orchestra. A year later she completed a M. Mus from the Amsterdam Conservatory with Harrie Starreveld.

 

Melkorka completed her second Masters degree from the Orchestral Training program at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London 2007. A holder of the James Galway Award, she was coached by players of the London Symphony Orchestra and the Philharmonia Orchestra. In London she also took private lessons with Sharon Williams (principal piccolo, LSO) and Paul Edmund-Davies (Philharmonia Orchestra), serving as the assistant of the latter at his summer class, Flute Kitchen, at Harrogate, England in 2007.

 

During 2005-2008 Melkorka also attended lessons with Patrick Gallois in Paris, France, completing the Premier Prix and Prix de Exellence degrees, both at the top of the class. She has attended master-classes around the world, with teachers such as Patricia Morris, Peter Lloyd, William Bennett, Jeanne Baxtresser, Michel Debost, Robert Dick, Peter-Lucas Graf, Wissam Boustany, Jacques Zoon, Paul Edmund-Davies and Samuel Coles.

 

Melkorka has played with different ensembles and orchestras, including Orkester Norden, The Reykjavik Wind Quintet, the Caput Ensamble (Iceland), Het Nieuw Ensemble, The Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra and the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra (Netherlands). In 2009-2011 she was the principal flutist of the Icelandic Opera. She is one of the founders and first flutist of the Isafold Chamber Orchestra (Iceland). From 2006 she has acted as a substitute in the Icelandic Symphony Orchestra and during the 2008-2009 season she was the principal piccolo player, also playing 2nd flute when needed. From September 2011 Melkorka has been the co-principal flutist of the Hyogo Performing Arts Center Orchestra in Japan.

 

Melkorka joined the ISO as a soloist playing Ibert’s Flute Concerto in 2004 and Atli Heimir Sveinsson’sFlute Concerto in 2009. In September 2011 she performed Toru Takemitsu’s I hear the water dreaming with the ISO in the new concert hall Harpa, conducted by the new chief conductor, Ilan Volkov. In spring 2011 she played solo recitals at the Radial System in Berlin, Cité des Arts in Paris, at The Foundling Museum in London and the Nordic Heritage Museum in Seattle, USA.

 

Melkorka has appeared as a soloist with the Reykjavík Chamber Orchestra (C.P.E. Bach: Concerto in G major), The Caput Ensemble (O. Kentish: Echo and Narcissus) The Icelandic Youth Orchestra (C.Reinecke:Flute Concerto), the Icelandic Flute Ensemble (H. Gudmundsson: Lux) and the Odense Symphony Orchestra (W.A.Mozart: Concerto in G, C. Nielsen: Flute Concerto). She has performed solo and chamber music around Europe and in the USA. In 2008 she toured Iceland performing all of Telemann’s Fantasies for solo flute in churches around the country. The Fantasies were recorded by the National Radio and broadcast on Christmas Eve 2008.

 

Melkorka is a qualified yoga teacher from the Triyoga Center in London
