The fourth annual Niseko Winter Festival was held successfully last weekend, from 12 to 14 January.
Richard Tognetti, innovative artistic director of the Australian Chamber Orchestra, along with his principal musicians, showcased a unique program each night at venues across the Niseko area. The varied performances and selections drew record audiences;

    12 January (Sat.) HANAZONO308 150
    13 January (Sun.) Grand Hirafu Mountain Center 200
    14 January (Mon.) Hilton Niseko Village 250

600 people attended the winter music series. Many fans were present on all three days.
In special performances during the event, Yasuji Ohagi, one of Japan’s leading classical guitarists, collaborated with the ACO.
Joseph Tawadros, one of the most popular musicians in Australia, fascinated the audiences with his playing on the exotic Egyptian oud.
This year, the number of international visitors saw a distinct increase.
The musicians and the ACO staff seemed to enjoy their stays in Niseko. It is apparent that this unique event has been gaining both local and international recognition. This was the first time for this executive committee to plan and organize the event, and it would not have been successful if not for the support of the sponsors, the volunteer staff and other local business partners. Thanks to everyone for your continuous support! We sincerely hope that the Niseko Winter Music Festival will keep growing as a keystone cultural event of Niseko’s winter, and we appreciate everyone’s continued support.By The Excutive Committee for the Niseko Winter Music Festival.
